Check out 2010's Roots Architecture at WOMAD
Fourth Door in association with tangentfield first Roots Architecture workshop took place at this years WOMAD world music festival. We billled it here as a unique, convivial and friendly festival-long workshop, where participants would get a taste of hands-on making and building a low tech and no tech structure to be completed by the festivals end. This is exactly what happened. Led and guided by experienced specialists, including Norway's Tyin Tegnestue, Roots Architecture also featured an exhibition showcasing the humanitarian and emergency architectural community covering projects and people involved worldwide.
