Although usually there are regular trains from London Charing Cross and Waterloo to Wadhurst (the nearest station) during the week 25-29th October there are major engineering works on the line as follows:

Major engineering work is taking place between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings, closing all lines from Saturday 23 to Friday 29 October. For SouthEastern Railways information see here.

– Buses will replace calling at all station between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings.

– Semi-fast bus services will operate between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings, stopping at Wadhurst only.

That week, trains from London will stop at Tunbridge Wells and a bus will go to Wadhurst – see below. The bus arrives at Wadhurst station around 15.15 or 15.45.

Alternatively, a cab from Tunbridge Wells Station to Flimwell is about £25 – £30 (meter, less if people share.)

Route 254 runs from Tunbridge Wells, stopping at Tunbridge Wells rail station at 14.39 and Wadhurst station at 14.55 and stopping at Flimwell Hare & Hounds traffic lights at 15.11. (approximately a quarter mile from Flimwell Park site.) If asked the driver will stop by the Flimwell Park entrance.


There is a 254 bus from Flimwell Hare & Hounds at 17.47 arriving to Tunbridge Wells station at 18.26.

Birchwood restaurant dinner meal

We are looking to arrange staying on for a dinner meal in Flimwell Park’s newly opened Birchwood restaurant. If you’d like to stay on please let us know. The dinner meal will be dependent on numbers, so we encourage you to stay and enjoy a meal and a drink.
